Welcome to my space! I’m Kate. I paint colorful art in acrylic and mixed media with lots of movement and energy, primarily focused on music. I have been an artist since childhood.   I enjoy mixing real ideas with abstraction to tell a story. Music has always been deeply woven into the fibers of my existence. It is a universal language and a driving force in the journey of life for so many of us. Music inspires my approach to art and my flow in my studio. My playlist is an ever evolving mix of feeling and experiences.  I especially love blues, funk and electronic dance music. You will usually find groovy house music flowing from my speaker while I work. My soundtrack for life includes nearly every genre.  I appreciate music.

In my art, I strive to capture a feeling. For instance, the feeling you get when you are walking down the streets of New Orleans and the music of a street artist captures your attention...that moment that you stop - and let the music wash over you.  Music evokes so much in us. It moves us.
